My baby Marisa and I journeyed into the desert last week in search of Salvation Mountain. I'm not religious, but there is certainly something magical about this mountain of art stranded in the sand.
I hope these photos entice you to visit, because it's definitely a site to see in person. There are so many nooks and crannies to explore; it felt like we could have spent days there. Seriously... go visit tomorrow!
One of my favorite things about living in California is that you can literally take off in any direction and stumble upon something peculiar, beautiful, or moving.
This time around we had a destination (#fangirls). Next time, I think I'll just drive.
